Bret Baier

Bret Baier who was born on August 4, 1970 is a well-known name of America’s T.V channels. He served as the networks’ Chief White House Correspondent and Pentagon Correspondent however, got real fame by his splendid anchoring on the Fox News Channel as the host of Special Report with Bret Baier, which is considered as one of the top-rated cable news program during 6-7PM/ET.

Biography

William Bret Baier is a Roman Catholic who was raised in Dunwoody, Georgia. She received his early education from a private Roman Catholic school named Marist High school, then joined Depauw University situated in Greencastle, Indiana from where he received his graduation in 1992 majoring Political Science and English. He started his television career with a local station and got first break through in 1988 when he sent an audition tape to the Fox News Channel and they hired him to work as the network’s Atlanta Bureau Chief. In 2001, He was asked to cover the Pentagon attack for which he went to Arlington, Virginia from Georgia thus never returned back to Atlanta Bureau and keep recording the tapes for almost five years remaining at the post of network’s Pentagon Correspondent. As a chief correspondent he covered exclusive famous issues like Timothy McVeigh execution, 1999 Elian Gonzalez story, Cuba reports series and coverings of hurricanes. He was also named as the Fox News’ network’s Chief White House Correspondent when he covered the administration of George W. Bush in 2007.

During the political season of 2012 to 2014 he provided exclusive coverage of every single moment up till the elections results along with Megyn Kelly on the Fox News Channel thus succeeded in catching the viewer’s eye through his excellent style of covering the news and the channel had been received 6.6 million viewers on mid-term election night due to his brilliant election coverage and the anchoring of Democratic and Republican conventions along with presidential and vice presidential speeches.

His program The Special Report with he was also awarded the title of ‘straight newscast’ by time magazine because of his potential and energetic style of anchoring. He has interviewed dozens of important political leaders including President Barack Obama, President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and also Hillary Clinton. He also aired his program from 74 countries of the world and gave more than 30 very special reports in which 12 were from Iraq and 13 were from Afghanistan.

He is not only a good anchor person but had also proved himself as a very best author when he came up with his book named ‘Special Heart: A Journey of Faith, Hope, Courage and Love’ which after sometime became the New-York Times best-seller and still is at the top of people’s choice.

Apart from the professional career he is also a family man and is happily married to Amy Baier with whom he has two sons. Due to his charismatic personality people drool over his anchoring and love the way he covers news in his programs.
