Early Life: Daniel Sunjata was born on December 30, 1971 in Evanston, Illinois, USA. He was adopted by a man who is professionally a civil right worker and a police dispatcher. Daniel is multi ethnic, as his biological parents were biracial (his father was black and mother was white); his adoptive parents are Irish and Italian-German. His full name is Daniel Sunjata Condon. The middle name “Sunjata”, meaning “hungry lion”, is given to him by his adoptive parents after the African king who created the empire of Mali. Although he never met his biological parents, his feelings about them are not hostile. He says, ''I never met the woman, but I feel a real gratitude to my mother for making the decision she did, giving me up for adoption instead of raising me herself, or aborting me,'' he says, ''Otherwise I might not even exist. And I certainly wouldn't be here.”
Being born in USA he graduated from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago then completed his undergraduate studies at Florida A&M University and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Then he studied for earning a master's degree in fine arts from the Graduate Acting Program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
His career took off in 1998 when he worked in a TV production of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” directed by Nicholas Hynter. This gave him a chance to prove himself and motivation to work hard to reach his desired goal. In 2003 his role as Darren Lemming in Take me out earned him Theatre World Award and also two nominations for receiving Tony Award for best performance by a featured actor and Drama Desk award for outstanding actor. This was the first milestone of his career. Laterin 2004 his TV show “Rescue Me” caused him to become more famous than ever.
Hot and handsome Daniel Sunjata, 6’1” height is no doubt a perfect marriage material, but still unmarried. He has been named one of the 50 most beautiful people in 2003. Although he has dated countless girls, he is yet not seemed to be interested in marrying someone. Even at this age he is more focused on his career and does not want to divert his attention. He is so concerned about his career that he prefers appreciation about his work rather than his looks. This can be proved by his statement “I ?nd it more ?attering when someone walks up to me and says, ‘I saw you in Take Me Out, and I thought it was a brilliant play.’ That is more ?attering than someone telling me I’m cute.”
His looks and beauty says it all. He is in search of someone who can see beyond his physical beauty and his fame. He tends to keep his personal life private; therefore, there is not much information available to public to know about his dating life and marriage preferences.
