Ian Harding

Born on September 16, 1986, Ian Michael Harding is of German descent. He was born in Heidelberg, Germany. He comes from a military family. He moved to United States with his family after being only a few years old.

Harding is an American actor, who is best known for taking the role of Ezra Fitz, in the TV series called “Pretty Little Liars”. Harding has also landed significant roles on film, and even appeared in web series. During his career, at age 29, he has been nominated for five acting awards and has won three. Harding appeared in several movie roles as well as web series. His charity work remains impressive and distinguishes him amongst other young actors.

Because his mother, Mary, has been fighting Lupus for over 20 years, Harding has been socially active in supporting the Lupus Foundation of America. He is working with the foundation to raise awareness about the disease, and to raise funds for lupus research and education.

Harding first started acting in his high school, in Virginia. He joined the school’s drama club and was selected by his class to give the commencement speech. After graduating from Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda, Maryland, Harding went on to pursue the program for acting and music. He attended Theater program at Carnegie Mellon University.

Very early in his career, Harding landed the role of Ezra Fitz on the ABC network’s drama series called “Pretty Little Liars”. In the show “ Pretty Little Liars, Harding plays alongside Lucy Hale, TroianBellisario, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson, and Sasha Pieterse. The show is about four girls who are trying to find the mysterious murderer of their friend. In the show, Harding plays the role of Ezra Fitz, who is Aria's (one if the main characters) boyfriend and English teacher at their school. For this role, Harding won even two Teen Choice awards.

Amongst his roles on film are characters in “Deadtime Stories 2” (2009), where he takes a role of a boy named Rian. He plays Pfizer Trainee in “Love and Other Drugs” (2010), Nathan Stewart in the short film “Christmas without you”, and Max Bornstein in “Dynamite: A Cautionary Tale”. 

On television, Harding appeared on “NCIS: Los Angeles”, where he played Curtis Lacross in the episode "The Bank Job". Other than his role in “Pretty Little Liars”, he appeared in the web series “Hollywood is Like High school”, where he played Jamie Hunter, for 6 consecutive episodes

Other than “Teen choice awards”, Harding also won the “Youth Rock Awards” in 2011, receiving the award “Rockin' Actor – TV” and “Best International Actor” in “Capricho Awards”, the same year.

At the age of only 29, Harding has landed numerous roles on TV as well as on film. He had received even three awards and was nominated for even five acting awards.

Other than his acting success, Harding has been successfully contributing to fight against Lupus and spreading awareness about this hard illness.
