Jill Marie Nicolini is a 37 year old CBS news reporter having been born on January 10th 1978 in Farmingville, NY, USA. By nationality, Jill is an American. She has had many achievements in her lifetime and has also tried her hand in different things include modeling as well as her participation in a reality TV show. She also used to act but is currently a reporter.
In 1996, Jill graduated from the sachem south high school and then went to the Stony Brook University where she attended classes for only a year. Her career started off in the year 1997 when she became a part of WBLI radio which was situated in long island. In 2000, Jill got an associate’s degree in TV and radio broadcasting from a college called Suffolk county community college. That same year, she started attending New York institute of technology for communication arts bachelor’s degree.
2001 saw her become New York islanders arena announcer and she also danced for the football team called New York dragons. Soon after this, she became a traffic reporter for news 12/long island and metro and traffic and weather channel.
At only 24, Jill was crowned miss Long Island in the year 2002. However, the organizers of the contest came to know that she had posed for playboy but under a different name and they termed this as immoral. This led Jill to relinquish the crown.
She got her communication arts masters in the year 2003. She also got to take a part in ‘married by America’; a fox reality show, in the same year. Though she did win in the show, she chose not to be married. There was a rumor in 2006 that she wanted to be a pussycat doll.
Prior to her being a reporter, Jill made ends meet through modeling. She didn’t make it to be the official Vampirella model in the year 2001. As an actress, she did get to do bit parts on different films as well as TV shows. These include law and order fromNBC, as well as Sex and the city from HBO.
Jill dated Antony Cumia, a radio personality, but this only lasted a short while.
In 2011, Jill became a part of WNYW Fox 5. Before this, she anchored in PIX11 morning news from 2004 and she was in the traffic/entertainment area. She had a great time giving traffic news and apart from this, she got a chance to interview many celebrities. She acted as a fill-in anchor, feature reporter and a weather anchor.
While working at WPIX, she spent Christmas with Marvin Scott in Iraq in the years 2009 and 2010. They tried to reconnect troops with their loved ones through satellite.
Today, Jill is very active in different charities such as the arthritis foundation, the national institute of natural sciences, juvenile diabetes foundation, and alliance for Lupus research among others.
She has been so successful in her career life and has received 3 nominations for Emmy awards and she has also scooped multiple awards from different arenas.
