Early Life and Education:
Williams was born on April 10, 1954 in Colón, Panama. His parents are Akin Jules William and Sharon Williams. Born in Panama, he moved to USA at a very early age. Juan graduated in 1972 from Oakwood Friends School in Poughkeepsie, New York. He attended Haverford College, from where majored in literature and graduated in philosophy in 1976. In school he became clerk of the student body, editor of the student paper and was captain of the baseball cross-country and championship basketball team which shows that he has been active since he was a boy. He joined Washington Post as an intern following the graduation in 1976 to pursue his dreams.
Juan Williams married Susan Delise in July, 1978. His wife has always been there to support him through every difficulty. The couple has three children; daughter, Rae; and two sons, Antonio ("Tony") and Raphael (Raffi). With their children the couple is living a perfect happy life.
Juan Williams is also the grandfather of twin girls, Pepper and Wesley.
Juan Williams started his journey to pursue his dreams soon after graduation. He worked with different channels on different positions. He joined Fox News network in 1997 after being fired from NPR from the post of news analyst in October 2010 following comments he made about Muslims. Fox News offered him a $2 million three-year contract and an expanded role at their network that includes a regular guest-host role Friday nights on The O'Reilly Factor besides being a news analyst.
The official reason for Juan Williams’ termination is that he failed to follow NPR policies for what a “news analyst” is permitted to do. This reason is not really justified as NPR gives a really vague job description of what news analyst should do.
He has received numerous awards to prove his success. He is also the author of six books, including the non-fiction bestseller. He has also received awards for his work as an author.
Juan has got an honorable personality. He is humble to everyone he comes in contact with, in personal and professional capacity.
Juan Williams’ success, in monetary terms, can be measured through his net worth which is more than $2 Million. Specific amount of his salary is not known, but when he joined Fox news he was signed in a contract of $2million for three years which is a considerable increase as to what he was paid by NPR.
