Suzanne Malveaux is an American TV reporter, anchor and journalist. She was born December 4, 1966 in Lansing, Michigan. Her father, Floyd J. Malveaux was a doctor, mother Myrna Maria Malveaux was a former teacher. Suzanne also had three siblings: two sisters Suzette (her twin) and Courtney. She also has a brother Gregory F. Malveaux who works at the Montgomery College. Her ethnicity is not univocal, she has French, African and Spanish roots.
She started her education in one of the most prestigious institution in the world - Harvard College where she studied sociology. After college she attended Columbia University and graduated it in 1991 with master’s degree in journalism.
Her first job was at the New England cable news in Boston, Massachusetts, where she has worked as a reporter to 1996. Suzanne’s first experience in journalism was quite successful and in 1996 she decided to boost her career and moved to Washington, D.C. Soon after she moved, she found a job at WRC-TV which is an affiliate of NBC. There she has made reports from 1996 to 1999, basically crime and local news.
In 1999 Tim Russert offered Suzanne Malveaux a job at NBC news. That was a great opportunity for her and she did not miss it. On NBC she covered most vibrant news, such as: 9/11 attacks, Bill Clinton’s impeachment, the Kosovo War and many other. Because of her dedicated work, in 2002 she was recruited by CNN where she became white house correspondent.
In addition to her constant reporting at CNN, she sometimes substituted Wolf Blitzer in his show The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, the CNN program which discussed breaking news, current events, political news and so on.
