Will Poulter

Will Poulter is a Bafta Award English actor and producer known for his roles in “Son of Rambow”, “Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”, “We’re the Millers” and “The Maze Runner”.

Will Poulter was born in Hammersmith, London on 28th January, 1993, to a former nurse and a professor of cardiology. He finished his education at Harrodian School, independent day school in southwest London.

Poulter landed his first acting role in a movie called ‘’Son of Rambow”, in 2007, where he played the delinquent Lee Carter. He said that his drama teacher Laura Lawson had the big influence on his decision to go to the audition for the film. The next bigger movie project was the third film of ‘’Narnia” franchise, “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” in 2010. Poulter got the role of Eustace Clarence Scrub and the movie was filmed in Australia, where he was accompanied by his mother and younger sister during six months of filming. At the end of 2010, Poulter began filming “Wild Bill”, a small independent British drama, directed by Dexter Fletcher. The movie saw the light on March 23rd, 2012 and got very positive reviews, Poulter’s performance received praise.

 The next big project for Will Poulter was a movie called “We’re the Millers”, launched in 2013 and starring Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, and Emma Roberts. The whole cast received praises, especially Poulter, who won his first major award for the role of Kenny Rossmore. He received the BAFTA Rising Star Award. A year later, Poulter played Fordy in a crime film “Plastic” which was not found a good reception with the critics. The same year, he played Gally in the movie adaptation of the novel “The Maze Runner”. The film was a big commercial success and the cast received big praises. Maybe his most diverse role was in the Irish movie “Glassland”, where he played Shane and collects a numerous praise for his performance.

Will Poulter has a several future projects such as the remake of the famous adaptation of Steven King’s miniseries “It”, in which Poulter will be playing Pennywise, the infamous clown. He is also due to join the thriller called “The Revenant”, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy. The film is directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu.

The same year he won the BAFTA award, Will Poulter received the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance and the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss, which he shared with his co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Emma Roberts for his performance in “We're the Millers”. In 2015, Poulter won the MTV Movie Award for the best fight; he shared it with his colleague Dylan O’Brien, from the movie “The Maze Runner”.

Will Poulter is one of the brightest talents of his generation and with only 22 years; it is most probably that he will be the major success in the movie industry and his name will be well-known in coming years.
