Whale shark spotting snorkeling in maldives

Whale shark is the largest non-cetacean animal (fully aquatic marine mammals) in the world. It has grey body with white belly. Just by reading the word shark don’t get the wrong idea as these fishes are known to be filter feeders, they feed on plankton; therefore, they are usually found near the surface, and Maldives is well known for their near-surface existence. These fishes despite their giant size can be tamed and they allow humans to ride on them. Snorkelers and scuba divers usually enjoy spending some time with them. Young whales are more adorable as they also play with their visitors.
